Exciting progress is taking shape throughout Provence. Expanded irrigation, new infrastructure, trail enhancements and continued development are laying the groundwork for our community’s next chapter while improving the shared spaces residents enjoy today.
This month, we’re taking a closer look at the work underway, what residents can expect to see, and how each project will contribute to the future of our community.
Work is underway to install additional irrigation along the full length of Lavonde Drive, completing the original irrigation plan for Phase I. Utz is the contractor managing the project, with completion anticipated by the end of the year. New landscaping will be added as the irrigation work progresses. Because newly planted material needs a season to settle in and become established, it may look modest at first. However, by spring, residents can expect the landscaping to appear fuller, greener, and more mature, adding another layer of natural beauty to our community.

Construction has begun on Phase II, marking an exciting new stage of growth for Provence. This expansion will bring approximately 400 additional homes to our community and, with them, the opportunity to welcome even more neighbors. C.C. Carlton is leading the infrastructure work, beginning with the roads, utilities, and drainage systems that must be completed before home construction can begin. Finished homesites are expected to be delivered to builders around July 2027. Builders will then begin work on model homes and available inventory, with the first new homes anticipated in early 2028. There is still important work ahead, but the activity residents see today represents a meaningful first step toward bringing this next phase of Provence to life.
The Hills will follow a similar development timeline to Phase II while offering a distinctive new neighborhood experience within Provence. This intimate neighborhood will feature 93 single-family homesites from David Weekley Homes and Newmark Homes.
Created with a “lock-and-leave” lifestyle in mind, these low-maintenance homes will give residents greater freedom to travel, spend time away, or simply enjoy life with fewer exterior upkeep responsibilities. The Hills will add a new housing option to Provence and introduce another welcoming pocket of neighbors to our growing community.
A new drip field is also being constructed to support the irrigation of our community’s shared green spaces. The system will slowly release treated effluent underground through a network of drip lines, providing a beneficial second use for treated water while conserving valuable resources.
During installation, residents may notice grading and trenching within the designated construction area. Once the system is operating, however, it will be almost entirely out of sight. There will be no standing water or noticeable odor, just an efficient system working quietly below the surface to help keep our common areas healthy and green.
Our Provence trail network will soon receive a series of enhancements designed to make it smoother, more inviting, and easier to explore. Planned improvements include upgraded trail surfaces, refreshed trailheads, additional landscaping and stronger connections between different portions of the network. Some trail segments may be temporarily rerouted or closed while the work is completed. We appreciate residents’ patience during these short-term interruptions and look forward to delivering a more connected trail experience for walking, jogging and enjoying the natural beauty of our Hill Country surroundings. Trail improvements are expected to begin early next year, once the new irrigation lines are in place.
We have good news for Provence’s vineyard enthusiasts: our vineyard is here to stay! Steps are being taken to improve crop harvests and support the vineyard’s continued growth. Once the vines produce a harvest ready to enjoy, we plan to partner with small local wineries to host tastings right here in our community. The vines still need time to mature, but there is plenty to look forward to. We’ll share more details as the vineyard grows and look forward to the day when neighbors can gather and raise a glass together.
Beginning in October, our Community Association Manager will have a dedicated work phone, giving residents another convenient way to ask questions, share concerns, or request assistance. Visiting the office in person will remain the best and preferred way to connect, as a face-to-face conversation often makes it easier to understand the details, talk through a question or concern, and reach the right solution quickly.
The new phone will be monitored during regular office hours and will not serve as an after-hours or on-call line. Calls and messages received in the evenings or on weekends will be returned on the next business day.
Each of these projects represents another step toward making Provence an even more connected, beautiful and thoughtfully planned place to call home. Construction may bring temporary changes along the way; however, it will also create lasting benefits, including expanded home choices, improved trails, beautiful, shared landscapes, and more opportunities for neighbors to come together.
