Under the lights of Austin FC’s stadium, an unforgettable evening unfolded where one that seamlessly blended community engagement, connection, and a deeper sense of purpose. Heroes by Day brought together our homeowners, partners, and community leaders for a powerful night in support of the Wounded Warrior Project, reinforcing what makes Provence by Masonwood Developments more than just a place to live but a community built on meaning.
Honoring the Spirit Behind Heroes by Day
At the heart of Heroes by Day is a story rooted in service, sacrifice, and community. The event was inspired as a deeply personal tribute to the brother of Masonwood Development’s Operations Manager, Vail. An individual that has served both our nation and currently our residents. United States Army Warrant Officer 2 Gary Vail served for nearly 17 years and was known for his candor, leadership, and compassionate spirit. Many also knew him through his Instagram presence, SoldierByDay, where he championed the importance of supporting others and recognizing those who dedicate their lives to service. Following Officer Gary Vail’s tragic passing in a car accident, Masonwood Development and the Vail family were inspired to create something meaningful in his honor—an experience that not only remembered a fallen soldier, but celebrated the everyday heroes who strengthen communities across the country. Today, Heroes by Day honors veterans, EMS personnel, first responders, and public servants whose dedication and sacrifice often happen quietly behind the scenes, day after day.
A Community United for a Greater Cause
From the moment guests entered the transformed East Club, the atmosphere reflected both celebration and intention. Vegas-style casino tables, music, and elevated hospitality created a vibrant experience and the true focus of the evening remained clear: honoring veterans and supporting those who serve.

At the heart of the evening was a commitment to making a tangible difference. Through on-site giving opportunities and continued engagement beyond the event, contributions directly supported the mission of the Wounded Warrior Project, where all participants help provide critical programs and services for veterans and their families.
